Isla South Pole

Next year I ski over 700 miles and become the youngest Scottish person to ski to the South Pole. My name is Isla Burston and I’m 17 years old.

A year ago I had such bad anxiety I found it incredibly hard to leave my house, I found school very difficult and I’d been badly bullied in my first two years of high school.

For the future I want to help all of the kids who are going through a similar situation to what I used to go through. I’m hoping to use this expedition to inspire others.

To me Antarctica is perfect, it’s one of the most harsh and beautiful places on earth. It’s the ultimate test to prove how far people can grow when they put their mind to it.

I still have another £80,000 to raise to pay for this expedition. I’m looking for sponsors and companies to support me with this. Any support you can give will help me hugely.
